Abstract

Personal experiences and events that occur throughout an individual's life have a direct impact on his or her personality and the formation of his or her being. The adversities of this life mark a turning point in the subject himself or herself, in making future decisions and in his or her self-construction, since it is important to highlight in these points the term "gaman" that comes from Japanese culture and whose meaning lies in the form or posture of overcoming that a person adopts in the face of adversities or difficulties that arise in his or her life. Gaman is directly related to a term known in Western society, resilience: adapting to adversity and the ability to overcome problems or situations that are imposed in the life of the individual.

Therefore, the role of nursing as a caregiver is the essence of the nursing profession, which can be defined as: an activity that requires personal and professional value aimed at the conservation, restoration and self-care of life that is based on the nurse-patient therapeutic relationship (Juárez & García, 2009). Nursing has the power to influence the way in which the individual faces the obstacle or adversity that he is experiencing, thus helping him to achieve his goal. It is important in the role of care to establish the individual as a priority, thus focusing on the care of the patient and not on alleviating a pathology or searching for solutions, therefore, it is essential from the role of nursing, to care by listening, accepting and above all, validating the feelings of the people.

It is worth highlighting the concept of Care Poetry, and in order to talk about it, it is necessary to first clarify its relationships with two concepts that influence its production: art and aesthetics in the context of care (Siles & Solano, 2017). The most important contribution of poetry to nursing lies in the clarification of its transcendent nature through the revelation of its subject object, allowing reflection on memories and forgetfulness (Siles & Solano, 2015).

The objective of this article is to expose my own life line, connecting with my own being and reflecting on the experiences that have occurred over these years, thus being able to identify the most significant experiences that have occurred, and how they have influenced and changed my life using care poetry and how it has influenced my life from the perspective of patient and recipient of care. This article attempts to evaluate a person's own attitude towards adversity and how personal experiences can influence one's life, as well as to identify and clarify the feelings that arise as a consequence of what has been experienced.
